About

Anthony DeMattei currently is the Vice Chair for Placer County Planning Commission District 3. Anthony lives in Rocklin and has been a Placer County resident for 27 years. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture with emphasizes in Finance and Economics from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and is proud to carry on his family’s legacy of farming in Northern California.  After graduating from College Anthony farmed in Yuba-Sutter counties, and since 2017 he has been farming in Placer County where he operates a mandarin orchard in Penryn California.

As a farmer he has provided internships for AG students at Del Oro High School and is currently working on a program with Sierra College. He is also working with local High school mountain bike teams to establish a bike trail. He is a Board Member for the RRUFF Dog Park in Rocklin and The Healing Heroes Program. Anthony supports 4H and FFA; by purchasing their livestock to donate for Salvation Army meals. Anthony enjoys helping out charity events, and actively participated as a member of the following committees:

  • Auction Committee Loomis Basin Charter School (4 years – raised $50K+)
  • Auction Committee Del Oro High School (4 years – raised $50K+)
  • Board member for the Placer County Farm Bureau
